EQUITA assisted DS Data Systems
The Zucchetti Group has acquired a controlling interest in the Italian-English company DS Data Systems (UK) Ltd.
DS Data Systems was assisted by K Finance, the Italian partner of Clairfield International, as financial advisor and by the firm Avvocatidiimpresa for the legal side.
The deal, which is synergistic for both parties, allows Zucchetti to expand and integrate its offer of software solutions for the foreign market with an e-commerce product that is widespread internationally and can be easily integrated into any platform, and for DS to be able to take advantage of the great potential in terms of marketing, customer base and partner network that the leading Italian software group can offer to grow the spread of its KonaKart product.
Paolo Sidoli, one of the founding partners of DS, said he was very pleased with the agreement reached with Zucchetti: “We are very happy to have become part of the first Italian Information Technology group, because thanks to this agreement we will be able to develop our product on a large scale by taking advantage of the great growth potential that the Zucchetti Group can offer us.”
For its part, Zucchetti, through its Worldwide Business Operations division manager Enrico Itri confirmed the strategic value of the deal, stating: "Zucchetti's expansion in the international market also passes through agreements such as the one signed with DS, as it allows us to enrich our range of software dedicated especially to the European market, with particular reference to Spain and Germany. Our goal, in fact, is to become a global provider of software and services for customers around the world, integrating products such as KonaKart into our Erp solutions, vertical applications dedicated to the retail market and other components of the Zucchetti offering."
