Ferro Corporation (listed on the New York Stock Exchange; NYSE: FOE) has bought from Star Capital SGR Spa and two minority shareholders Vetriceramici Spa.

K Finance, a partner of Clairfield International, served as co-advisor to Vetriceramici.

Vetriceramici is a leading producer of ceramic dyes for high-end tile manufacturers and has reported revenues of about €53 million in the past 12 months and has achieved an average sales growth of 9.3 percent per year over the past three years. It has production plants in Italy (Casola Valsenio, RA) and Mexico, a blending plant in Poland, research center and sales offices in Fiorano, and a sales office in Turkey.

With this acquisition, which came for an enterprise value of 83 million euros, Ferro will expand its growth opportunities, broadening its product portfolio and strengthening its positioning in markets with strong growth prospects, such as the United States, Mexico, Turkey and Eastern Europe, thanks in part to the contribution of the quality and experience of Vetriceramici's management.
